Terminals (branched structure)
The Terminals analysis distinguishes between segments that lead to a node and segments that lead to a termination.
Analysis results

Each tree selected for the analysis is assigned a unique number starting at 1.

- Terminal: segment ending in a termination
- Node: segment ending in a node.

Number of segments of a given type.

Sum of all of the lengths of the segments of a given type.
- Mean = [Length total] / [Quantity]
- Variance—computed using the individual lengths and the mean.

Computed by modeling the segments as a series of frusta (truncated right circular cone).
- Mean = [Surface or Volume total] / [Quantity]
- Variance—computed using the individual surfaces or volumes and the mean.
